Are you being being healthy in the bathroom?

Some things you shouldn't do in the bathroom to keep yourself and others healthy:
1) Don't drink water from the shower head. Shower heads are basically breeding grounds for bacteria, and so is the hot water heater. It's okay to wash with the water, but once it gets in your system, you'll start feeling sick. Same thing applies to any source of tap water.

2) Keeping the shower curtain closed creates mold and icky stuff, as mold loves dark, wet places. Inhaling these particles can make you quite sick. Besides keeping the curtain open, you can air the bathroom out with a fan or by opening a window.

3) Flushing with the lid up may cause germs to go airborne, which mists into the air with the water that's being fanned up.

4) Keeping a toothbrush on the counter, while it may look neat and tidy, can actually have negative effects. The germs and icky particles ejected from the toilet will fly up and land on the toothbrush, even if the toilet lid is closed.

5) Using Q-Tips to remove wax only pushes earwax deeper in, causing potential problems in the ear canal. Earwax naturally goes outward, and is pushed out during showers and daily activities.

6) Drying your hands on another person's towel will just pass their germs back onto your hands. Use paper towels or tissues so you are guaranteed that they are germ-free.

Just some fun facts about bathroom habits. Remember, anything you do can spread germs.
