Mac vs. PC

PC and Tech Authority

It's a rivalry between two completely different computers, other than the fact that they're computers. Which makes one better than the other? Here are the pros and cons of each computer type.

Pros:
Macs:
-Selective manufacturers (+1)
-Less prone to hackers and viruses (+1)
-Meets customer satisfaction (+1)
-Compatible with a lot of features such as iMovie and iTunes, and Windows (+1)
-Shown to crash less often than PCs (+1)
-Exclusive to Apple, and thus every Apple device can be upgraded or repaired by an authorized Apple support center (+1)
-Runs faster (+1)

PCs:
-Wide variety of computer choices (+1)
-Tends to have larger hard drives (+1)
-Due to its wide assortment of computers, PCs are usually much more cost effective (+1)
-Available from a wide range of retailers and manufacturers (+1)
-More customization than Macs (+1)
-Easier to make home repairs as parts are easy to find (+1)
-Easy to run games (+1)

Cons:
Macs:
-Expensive (-1)
-Exclusive to Apple (-1)
-Not many choices in a computer type (-1)
-Less hard drive space (-1)
-Not as much availability as PCs (-1)
-Not geared for gaming (-0)

PCs:
-More prone to viruses (-1)
-Not as compatible as Macs (-1)
-Tends to crash more than Macs (-1)

PC: 4

Of course, I'm a PC user and not that much of a Mac fan. But these are some common pros and cons that may prevent you from buying one or the other.
